Academic Achievement
The CMOs in CSGF's portfolio are producing outstanding student achievement results. Across our portfolio, the organizations serve a population where nearly 75% of the students qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program ("FRL" – a proxy for level of poverty) and 91% of their students are minority. Nearly all of CSGF's portfolio organizations are enabling their students to outperform similar peers and the schools in their surrounding district by impressive margins. Most of CSGF's portfolio members operate schools in large urban districts with a history of poor performance, yet these organizations are enabling students to significantly outperform similar students and district averages on a consistent basis.
